In a bowl whisk together flour and salt. In an extra bowl mix together yeast with 5 tablespoon water and the sugar. Let the yeast react for 5 minutes. Cut the onion into small pieces.
Next mix the yeast mix to the flour and add the egg, olive oil, onion and the rest of the water. Knead dough until smooth. Then let it react again for about an hour. Add the spices and form the bread. Spread with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt.
Preheat oven to 180°C and bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Serve warm paired with a glass of red wine.
